According to the 2018 U.S. State of Cybercrime Survey, 66% of organizations are more concerned about their cybersecurity than they were a year ago. The annual survey evaluates the impact of cybercrime on businesses and the frequency with which they occur, as well as how much money these organisations are spending on IT security.
More than a third of respondents (41%) reported that cyber events were happening with more frequency than last year, with businesses of all sizes seeing a significant increase, but especially large corporates. One of the biggest barriers to minimising the impact of these events is threat detection; it often takes longer than a month to identify intrusions which can end up costing companies dearly.
The U.S. State of Cybercrime Survey helps organizations compare their security practices and breaches during National Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
