Ikea On the face of it, Ikea’s recently-acquired TaskRabbit app is a godsend for busy people. It helps the time-poor to hire freelance gardeners, cleaners, home movers and even assemblers of flat-pack furniture.

Unfortunately, it now appears that TaskRabbit has suffered a data breach. While the company investigates further, it is encouraging users to change their login details across all other websites and apps. Anyone whose tasks have not been completed as a result of the breach will receive compensation.

Cybersecurity experts and law enforcement officers are on the case. TaskRabbit, which is headquartered in San Francisco, has taken its app and website offline of until the problem is resolved.
