Industry experts in the mobile phone sector have been debating the merits of Apple security after a recent revelation from Apple that malware had permeated its App store. The method of malware invasion has provided food for thought for many. Apple is currently removing all the infected products from its store and recommends users update their phones.
Commentators feel that despite this breach, Apple technology is still some of the most secure in the marketplace as most iPhone users would not have the ability to bypass the phone’s security in order to download third party, unofficial software; it is a time-consuming and complicated process requiring a fair degree of technical know-how.
Other phone technology is far more open to this type of abuse so for now, Apple still seems to be the most secure player. But in the world of cyber security, nothing stands still for very long so watch this space.
