Elon Musk, the visionary founder of the Californian automotive-to-alternative energy company, claims that Tripp hacked into the Tesla computer system and leaked confidential information to unauthorised third parties.

As well as allegedly interfering with its manufacturing system, Tripp is accused of misinforming the media that Tesla was using punctured batteries in its new Model 3 cars and also creating more scrap metal than it admits. Tesla is seeking $1m in damages aswell as other forms of relief.
