New research from the RAND Corporation suggests that consumers whose security data has been compromised by hackers generally stick with the same service provider, with only half of them even bothering to change their passwords. As long as the company keeps them informed and seems to be taking remedial action, users seem content to stay loyal.
It seems to suggest that as cyber attacks become an everyday feature of modern life, both providers and their customers appear to be adopting a blitz spirit and accepting the inevitable.
