Part a prank, part art installation and part security awareness campaign, New Zealander Julian Oliver has turned a humble piece of office equipment into a listening device in order to highlight security shortcomings in the Global System for Mobile communications (GSM).
The best part? We think it’s the fact that the system has been programmed to play Stevie Wonder’s ‘I just called to say I love you’ when calling connected phones.
